If your PC or laptop only has one of the above ports that we mentioned at the top of the guide, for connecting to your monitor, you'll need an additional adapter or dock to connect those two or more monitors properly. The first Blue Screen of Death appeared in Windows NT 3.1 (the first version of the Windows NT family, released in 1993), and later appeared on all Windows. the Lock screen, make it a slideshow, or fiddle with which information appears here. Now, if you're using two or more monitors at the same time, there might be an additional step that's needed. Youre not stuck with the Lock screen photo as Mother Microsoft has. If you're using a dongle or adapter, then you'll have to plug the monitor's cable into that adapter first, and then into your PC. The Up Arrow Key puts the application in to full screen and the Down Arrow Key minimizes the window. For example, you'd hold Windows+Left Arrow Key to snap the missing window to the left-hand side of your screen. Then, find the respected port for that cable on your computer, and plug it in. Hold the Windows key, and then hit the Left or Right Arrow Key. Plug one end of the HDMI, USB-C, or another type cable that you're using into the monitor. With one monitor, connecting your monitor to a PC is usually a simple task. We do have some extra notes if you're using more than one monitor, though, but more on that later. As we mentioned above, you can do this by following the instructions included in the box that contains your monitor. Whether you have two/three or any number of monitors, you can virtually set a default display for any app. Before actually managing monitors, you'll need to plug the monitor into your PC. It is probably the simplest method to force an app to open on a specific monitor. ![]()
